Detailed Narrative Descriptive of Project :

  • Propose a master plan of development action to be the framework for Chiang Mai Lamphun Development. It is to be useful for developing project investments by the responsible agencies or by interested private parties.
  • The development strategies are intended to sustain economic growth and to stimulate new development for Chiang Mai - Lamphun in order to play a major role as the developing center for the 6 countries in Greater Mae-Khong Economic Co-operation Plan (Thailand, Myanmar, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam)

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided:

  • Studied, analyzed, and forecast the economic growth, land use, and population in Chiang Mai - Lamphun Provinces.
  • Planning for historical preservation in the study area.
  • Planning for development of public utilities and infrastructure.
  • Proposed the organization to manage the development in the study area.
  • Pre-feasibility study of 5 recommended projects as the pilot projects to stimulate the planned development. 
  • Provide a Geographic Information System to build up a base map of the study area as well as provide information on Land Use and Geological Data.
