Type Size and Value: Elevated Electric Train Station, 150 m long, Loading and Unloading Passenger Platform at 15.0 m above road level. Construction value : 250.00 Million Baht each (2006)
Project Description: - This project is a design and build contract, with Sino-Thai the main contractor. Two stations were built at the same. The significant features of the project come from the difficulty to design and build the facilities without disturbing existing via duct and uses this via duct for decking of train lines.
- Designers decided to use large bored piles 1.80 m diameter embedded 58 to 60 m in soil of the Great Metropolitan Area. They were designed to take a safe carrying load capacity of 1,500 tons with a Factor of Safety 2.5.
- Structural components of major structures are the large bent that had existing column protruded and clear from new structure, the bents carry the prestressed precast girders for ticketing platform or concourse level and structures for passengers platform and steel roof. Spacing of bents are 30.0 apart. During construction, almost two traffic lanes had been fenced out as the construction zone.
