Project Description: Land Acquisition Acts were issued on 25 July 1996 for the Southern Outer Bangkok Ring Road Project. The project starts from the end of the Western Outer Bangkok Ring Road (W-OBRR) on Rama II Road (Thonburi-Pak Tho) and connects the Eastern Outer Bangkok Ring Road (E-OBRR). This inter-city motorway crosses Suksawat Road in Phra Pradaeng Area, then runs east to cross the Chao Phraya River and connects Bang Na – Bang Pakong Highway at the end of the Eastern Outer Bangkok Ring Road to complete the Outer Bangkok Ring Road System.
The project is approximately 35 kilometers long, and divided into four (4) motorway sections described as follows;
Motorway Section 1
From Highway 35, (Rama II Road, Thonburi-Pak Tho) to Highway 303 (Suksawat Road, Phra Pradaeng-Pom Phrachul), a distance of approximately 14.3 kilometers.
Motorway Section 2
From Highway 303 (Suksawat Road, Phra Pradaeng-Pom Phrachul) to Highway 3 (Sukhumvit Road, Bang Na – Samut Prakarn) including the river crossing section, a distance of approximately 6.6 kilometers.
Motorway Section 3
Highway 3 (Sukhumvit Road, Bang Na – Samut Prakarn) to Highway 3268 (Thepharak Road), a distance of approximately 9.4 kilometers.
Motorway Section 4
Highway 3268 (Thepharak Road) to Highway 34 (Bang Na - Bang Pakong Road), a distance of approximately 4.7 kilometers.
